Ascension Magazine 2005.

01. Okay, Mr. Tomas, Mr. Simone, we are here to talk about the "Satyriasis" release....
Is it right / legal to say that we are in presence of the two most irreverent and pervert entities inside the apocalyptic scene?

Maybe it so, but I think that’s for you and everyone else to find out for themselves; shameless proposals will be accepted and considered.

02. How did this collaboration begin? When and why did you decide to make "Satyriasis" together?

I think the idea to collaborate was conceived after our second meeting in Vienna in the autumn of 2002.
After you had fallen asleep in the car because of too much beer in Padova, we all traveled to Vienna. Do you remember? And there we met Simone again for the second time in three days. He looked like a punk folk-singer taken out of context; like a reflection of an Italian Sid Vicious playing the guitar at a national-socialistic convention were everyone else was dressed camouflage. Singing songs about vaginas, cum-shots and sexual encounters, while everyone else was discussing the rise and fall of European culture. It was quite fun to witness.

We met for the first time as we performed together in Rome on November 2nd 2002, and when we met again in Vienna at the Hau-Ruck festival, we started to talking backstage were Simone decided it was his calling to manage the bar, and realized that we enjoyed each other’s company and that we had been brought together by fate for our mutual belief in sex, depravity and demoralization as the remedy to world salvation. Does it make sense?

03. Tomas, why to make a record with Simone Salvatori? What do you think of him?

Yes, why? That’s a good question. Please ask me again in a few years.

What do I think of him?
He is a fantastic person. He IS the Armageddon gigolo.
Girls love him; they swarm around him like flies around shit.
He brings out the best in me and makes me want to become a better person. I enjoy his company, and I wish we lived a bit closer so that we could meet more often than every second year.

04. You are two strange, unique, entities of the so-called "apocalyptic scene"...
Uniforms, wars and politic in general are some of the most exposed themes by apocalyptic bands.... And you talk about sex and decadence! What do you think about the cliché of the scene with which you have been associated? I know also ORE and SF had problems (in Germany) 'cause of their (false) association with the right wing... Don't you think it is pure madness?

The scene has become like all other scenes, a tedious cliché of itself. Too many are desperately trying to be Death In June, just like every Goth bands tries to be Sisters of Mercy, but what Death In June does, Douglas does best, so there’s no need for yet another and another and another, Death In June.

There is a widespread epidemic of “un-talent” and “unoriginality” throughout the scene today. Nobody is seemingly interested in making good and/or original music anymore; everyone is far too preoccupied with being accepted by the community itself and exist within the preconceived standard that dictate and decide who is accepted and who is declined.

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with uniforms, on the contrary, bring me a girl strictly dressed in military uniform, high heels and black stockings and I will definitely let her teach me about discipline and the rise and fall of Europe. But please employ these marvelous items with some sort imagination. Utilize them beyond the context of exalting our historical past.

I haven’t had that many problems in Germany. We have been told to be fascists and Social-Darwinists on a handful of occasions, and we have been stopped from performing once in Berlin because of this, but aside from this isolated incident I try to imagine that people know what is true or false about O.R.E.

05. Your definition of "sensuality"? (One of the most evident character of the CD ... as in the music as in the booklet's pictures)

Sensuality is that which provokes the mind and causes arousal.

06. With this new release, I had the feeling that both the bands are ready to keep a bigger distance between themselves and the so-called "apocalyptic scene"... There's a soft pop atmosphere behind the new tracks of Ordo and - on the other side - there's a more traditional rock and roll approach in the SF songs.... What about? What's changing in your approach with music?

I didn’t decide to change my approach, I never do; I just let things happen and see where they take me.

Progress and change are natural, without them everything would become uninteresting, and such is also the situation with O.R.E.
First of all I think I have become a better musician.
I have worked with music for the past 16 years through O.R.E As well as Archon Satani, and whether you want to or not, you are destined to learn something along the way.
My technical situation has improved over the last year and I have finally invested money in my so-called “studio” which definitely has improved the sound and my possibilities to realize my ambitions.
And I think all this has caused O.R.E to evolve and possibly sound somewhat different (better).

07. Tomas, what do you see in common between you and Hellvis?

Friendship is the primary factor that links us.
I believe we have a similar way of thinking, we share a similar vision of irony and nudity, he brings out the better man in me and makes me a better person; all combined with the simple fact that he doesn’t really understand what I am saying, so even if we actually disagreed, he wouldn’t be able to tell that I am actually an idiot.

On the artistic side I believe we are brought together by a mutual belief in sex, depravity and demoralization as the remedy to world salvation.

08. Let's talk about the future.... What should we expect from the future plans of ORE?

The plans of O.R.E are to release another CD on CMI in January 2006 titled “Apocalips” - CMI141.
We will most likely remain dormant for another six to eight months (at least), with the exception of one concert in Germany on the weekend of September 23rd – 25th.

I believe that’s it. There are other more distant plans, but I will keep them to myself for now.

09. Your favorite movie, new band, record and porn star of the moment?

Since my beloved son was born on September 4th 2004 I haven’t had time to pay attention to new music that isn’t O.R.E or Spiritual Front, watch either old or new movies, or even watch pornography enough to have a favorite porn star, so I won’t bother to answer.

10. Will there be a second "Satyriasis"? Will you work again together in the future?

We’ll see what the future has store for us.
From where I stand right this minute, I even have difficulties to see another tomorrow.

11. Your final message to the readers....

Two is Company, Three is an Orgy, Four is Forever; the more we are the merrier it gets.
