1. When was born the idea of forming Ordo Equilibrio? Had it something to do with your quit from Archon Satani, or was an idea you had from a time before? Was Archon Satani your first band, when did you start making music?

My introductory endeavor making music commenced in 1989; and shortly after, following my initial encounter with Mikael Stavöstrand; Archon Satani was born in the closing months of 1990.

The incentive to establish Ordo Equilibrio however, or more appropriately an individual project adjacent to Archon Satani, emerged alongside Mikael's decision to establish 'Innana' in 1991.
But although I had retained the incentive to establish Ordo Equilibrio prior to my departure from Archon Satani, it evolved naturally as a consequence of parting with Mikael in 1993.

2. The appearing of O.E. was in two compilations: 'In the Butchers Backyard' (as Ordo Equilibrium) and 'Karmanik Collection' in 1993. A long time before your first CD in 1995. Why? Was it a slow process until you got your own style established? How was this process?

The reason for 'Reaping the fallen, The first harvest' not being due for release until two years following our initial appearance on 'In the Butchers Backyard' & 'Karmanik Collection' was essentially by reason of instrumental deficiency.
The aspirations of commencing Ordo Equilibrio were evident and the incentive on how to proceed was lucid, but the situation that the initial working awaited two years to resolve, was merely a question of acquiring the necessary instruments to utilize the creative yearnings.

3. Your music and lyrics represent a continuous strife. A strife to achieve a concrete state of being. A way to the called 'Land of Completion'. How do you think must this state be reached?

This conjectural yet pragmatically determined state of being may be fundamentally attained by virtue of self-realization.

4. Through your lyrics I can see also a fight against the moral laws of religion, a way to defeat these laws.
Which are the basic laws you think should rule our world these days?

Initially I believe we need to revive the capability of reasoning, as there within resides the resolution to considerable human & terrestrial anguish.
Thereafter we need to evaluate the contemporary status of this world, revise the moral principles that permeate our surroundings, and consequently retrieve the essential rectitude of our ancestry and the understanding of primeval generations.

All life can not be spared at what seems to be any cost; especially as every being, does not intrinsically; solely by virtue of being alive, comprise the same equitable aptitude and unconditional right to subsist.

All human beings throughout this planet comprise an individually distinctive aptitude; and every human being does not intrinsically by virtue of its mere being, comprise the imperative aptitude to become an astronaut solely because they retain the aspiration.
People are intellectually, physically, genetically & competently distinct; any other conviction is intellectually deceiving oneself.

The strong and ingenious have to be permitted to prevail in favor of the weak and frail. This condition is not an option or a matter of either elitism or humanitarianism, it is an imperative requirement for the world to persist and flourish.

Incompatible and short-termed monetary motives may not be recognized as the dictating incentive of the terrestrial procession and its outcome; there are far greater and more important issues besides negligent and improvident financial gain.

Nature and the environmental settings throughout the world in which we subsist, needs to be nourished and protected from senseless defilement. Nature will affirmatively persist without mankind, but mankind will not endure without nature; but which sadly seems to be a comprehension that transcends the understanding of numerous people throughout this day and age.

Infraction requires equitable punishment; punishment befitting the severity of the infliction.
Justice is not necessarily or exclusively served by the ruling of an eye for an eye, but there should nevertheless be conspicuous infliction for conspicuous acts of needless transgression; acts of serial and multiple rape should equal death without exception; and so forth.
Mankind should by other means be conscious and responsible for its individual actions, and/or consequently liable to suffer the consequences of its conducts.

Man should experience and realize him/herself; as within the comprehension of our very being, rests the answer to the riddle of our very existence; alongside the sterling key of individual salvation.

Love conquers all.
We should love ourselves truly, literally, passionately and extensively, as are we indeed capable of loving someone else, unless we are intrinsically capable of loving ourselves?

Sex necessitates recognition and utilization, as an unconditionally imparting exercise, unreservedly linked with process of life, creation and procreation; and farther akin to an infinite magnitude of physical and psychical gratification.

And so forth....

These are briefly the elementary principles that I believe should direct our present & future being.

5. Another important element named or used in your songs is sex and love; not only through the lyrics but through the atmosphere of your music.
They are reflected in its darkest way in songs like 'Under the Rose, Coitus Excelsi / Pain, Bondage & Subjugation'.
What importance has love/sex in your music and life mainly in the not traditional way?

Sex and love are assuredly of great importance to me, but however; are they not to everyone? Does not departing to hermitage or the chaste life in a monastery, fundamentally involve devout and religious fidelity by virtue of accepting chastity and renouncing the need and desire for carnal interaction? Indicating the significance of sex; both individually and symbolically as the cardinal sacrifice; likewise bequeathed, acknowledged & accepted.

Sex and love are magnificent.
Sex is beautiful, delightful and necessary; Love is ambiguous; captivating, wonderful and complete; yet aggravating, mournful and restraining.

Sex and love serve as vital incentives of my very being; as creative and invigorating catalysts associated with the aesthetic process of Ordo Equilibrio, and the prosperity of my person.

I enjoy sex, and I find it physically and psychically liberating in any consensual and voluntary form. Particularly associated with my personal infatuation for Stockings, Corsets & High Heels; but likewise in addition to assorted ventures of sadomasochism, along with Bondage & Domination, as invigorating elements as part of my individual life and sexuality.
Essentially as this is where I find an intrinsic variety of stimulating constituents as part of my sexual gratification, erecting an undeniable extent of my individual desire, appreciation and sexual nature.

These attractions and practices are however not a substitute to any supposedly accustomed and ordinary sex, but more willingly a gratifying extension of the conventional sexual practices customarily appreciated and exercised.
And accordingly utilized as I find them exciting and personally gratifying; conferring me along with any eventual relationship in which I am engaged, with an additional magnitude of trust, excitement and respect.

6. All these themes you dedicated your music to, can be superficially interpreted.
Mainly the definition 'Satanic' can be easily used as a unique definition, not seeing the numerous ways your music and lyrics are leading to. What would you say about this appreciation?

The signification of Satanist and/or Satanic requires definition; basically since the term too often has been abused, distorted and thus become wrongfully projected into a certain terminology and signification.

Satanism has decisively become perverted by the prejudice conjectures of the contemporary media and the uninitiated constituents of society; and thus become exclusively representative of the deplorable deeds, committed by seemingly demented black metal teens.
It has concisely and with exclusive reference become synonymous with actions of church burning, the desecration of graves, along with the alleged sacrifice of abducted infants etc., etc; and being as we all know, the customary behavior of any alleged and genuine Satanist throughout the world.

I behold Satanism and Luciferianism, along with any philosophical and spiritual conviction endorsing the utilization of human potential and the confidence in individual workings; both associated and disassociated with Satanism, as vastly more advantageous spiritual applications by which to pragmatically effectuate interaction, realization and decisive gratification pertaining to life; more appropriately than by virtue of all other philosophical, religious and spiritual convictions.
I am thus, spiritually and philosophically supportive of specific orders and conceptions comprised throughout the appointed satanic establishment, as I believe they more prosperously would realize the individual that I endorse, and decisively contribute with a more natural and certainly more operative comprehension of mankind. Alongside a genuine comprehension of the contemporary terrestrial status in which we subsist, and at the hand of which they both successively could be improved.

I am however not inclined to categorize any of my understandings and convictions solely to satisfy the biased mass and their evidently invariable need to categorize in order to comprehend and conceivable appreciate.
I believe any categorization of my spiritual and philosophical convictions would solely confine my individual objectivity and impartiality. But if any of my understandings make me Satanist, Fascist, Anarchist, Communist, Jewish, Liberal, anti-Semite or National Socialist, according to your or anyone else's opinion, so let that be your judgement; it is not any of my concern. It is merely regretful that people are so rabidly compelled to categorize merely in attempt to appreciate.
And determining our music as allegedly satanic is far too lenient; it consists of decisively more depth, eloquence and profundity.

7. You chose the name 'Ordo Equilibrio' ('Order of Balance'). Is this your ideal position, a balance among all natural forces?
According to your way of thinking "Nature provides the setting and the environmental conditions for being. And these conditions dictate the elementary survival ratio of each individual species of this planet".
Do you think every human being according to the zone of the planet where he/she lives have these basic conditions provided by nature, and the same possibilities of developing their mental capacity and natural instincts?

Balance does not intrinsically by virtue of equivalence suggest a condition of tranquility.
Balance is a condition of consistency between polarities and balance established by virtue of the fray itself. Friction creating advancement, two making one, one completing the whole.
Balance is the state where compromise is needless and poise is accomplished intrinsically by virtue of natural alignment.

Balance can be the premeditated projection of disproportion and ambiguity in the context of harmony; as through the application of Ordo Equilibrio, in attempt to realize ambiguity and contemplation with regards to the factual signification of good & evil, light & dark, love & hate, male & female, war & peace etc., etc.

Balance is beneficial as a natural accomplishment, but equally detrimental if implicated as a condition of enforcement.
Balance should not be the enduring conjecture of being solely for the purpose of being, which indeed suggests a condition of stagnation; and consequently if the condition of balance is not progression, it is requisite of alteration.

The appointed statement does not allege nor does it profess that I believe nature provides the identical or equivalently availing conditions of being for every territory and every being throughout this planet.

The environmental factors vary throughout the planet, consequently creating distinctive regions of individual living conditions and particular environmental possibilities.

Every being's potentiality of developing his/her mental capacity and natural instincts, is associated with the setting of their specific region, but not exclusively decided by virtue of the setting itself.

The appointed abilities are more appropriately forged by virtue of the specific region's particular sociological conditions, indicating the cultural, political, spiritual and religious settings of the appointed region.
These factors, alongside the being's intrinsic aptitude of will and hereditary genetics, determine the potentiality of his/her ability of developing his/her mental capacity and natural instincts.

8. All humanity nowadays tends towards a total equality of all races and people, while according to your opinion and to a strict natural dogma, only the fittest are destined to survive and there are people better and more fit than others.
("Man always forgets, that it is governed and separated by the same axioms that separate the weak from the strong, the capable from the incompetent, the ingenious from the dumb, the brilliant from the foolish. This certitude never dies, this certitude never beckons but forever lives on").
Normally the incompetent, dumb and foolish are in an upper position while the others are oppressed by them. But don't you think that until the human race can be able to have a natural equilibrium between mind and natural instincts, will not be capable to reach this stage of natural order?
And on other side, it is not true that the weakest people of this planet, I mean particularly the zones where starvation and illness reign, are but a product of this inverted natural order and not a result of this order itself? What is your position in front of this unjust and terrible aspect of human kind?

I thoroughly believe the accomplishment of equilibrium between instincts and reason is necessary to procure any sort of terrestrial order, but before this process may initially transpire, I believe mankind is fundamentally required to ascertain the ability to reason in its very elementary stage.

The appointed people of the subjected regions, apparently liable to starvation and affliction, are not fundamentally the product of a supposedly inverted natural order, but more appropriately a fabricated product of the industrial world.

If there would be the instigation of a natural order, or even the slightest aspiration to accomplish a natural order; the western world would be requisite to relinquish these regions and allow them to confront their fabricated destiny. Confront their contemporary situation and consequently resolve the situation according to their own means.
Therewith they would realize the condition, regulate the problem; possibly by means of millions and yet millions of fatalities, but however resolve the factual dilemma, and therewith being able to manage the situation thenceforth.

But this is naturally not the desire of the western industrialized world.
It requires these regions on the verge of extinction; enslaved by means of starvation and deficit monetary resources, by reason of its desire to maintain a cheap and compliant workforce to serve the western needs; and consequently provide collateral means to nourish the compelled compulsions of the western population.

These folks, the appointed prey of former and present imperialism, are the constituents of an order that is controlled by monetary motives; not the victims of an inverted natural order, which according to my understanding of a natural order would suggest an order that seemingly resembles the contemporary disposition of today; an order established on the survival and enforced equivalence of the weak in favor of the strong; not the survival of the weak in aspiration to sustain the needs of the strong; which more appropriately is the status of this contemporary disposition.
The spirit of preservation is similar; but the motives for custody are distinctively dissimilar.

Inadequate and existentially unsuited people are possible to detect everywhere throughout the planet; there are Caucasian defectives, African, African American, Jewish, Hispanic, Arabian, Asian, and so forth; each distinct folk comprise its individual quantity of people that would instantly perish unless the contemporary disposition was maintained, and the weak were no longer affirmed to prosper in favor of the strong.
Inadequacy and incompetence are hence, not solely distinguishable characteristics throughout regions of starvation and consecutive affliction, but more appropriately conspicuous defects throughout every region and distinct folk on the surface of this planet.
And even more accurately so, as most people in defiance of their hereditary belonging, are inherently inadequate and collectively unsuited for being; deficit of instincts, perseverance & the ability to reason, as a consequence of sociological, cultural and religious corruption.

9. You practice in general two ways in your music: the acoustic and the dark ambient and the atmospheric. Do you feel connected with any bands or styles?
What do you think about the so called dark folk movement in Europe and its ideas?

As I am yet unfamiliar with the appointed dark folk movement and its ideas, I may unfortunately not assert an adequate opinion with regards to their particular motives and notions.

Naturally there are particular bands and individuals throughout the industrial & folk industrial scene that we are connected to, either by virtue of friendship or creative motives; and I suppose that these particular scenes is where to we are factually affiliated.

10. You give a lot of importance to the artwork in your CD's they are really beautiful, full of symbols that have a direct reference to your ideas and music, even your logo has a magical connection.
Are they all complementary forming a whole that is your music, lyrics and ideas?
Is it magic an important aspect in your life? In which way/form?

Ordo Equilibrio is properly comprehended as an undivided aesthetic revelation; not fractionally of music separate from lyrics, lyrics separate from symbolism & symbolism separate from the complete aesthetic presentation, which would indicate an understanding deficit of the integral aspiration; but more appropriately as a complete and deliberately unveiled catalyst.
But as perception is a seemingly individually affiliated trait, and as our workings seem possible to comprehend differently by virtue of its aggregated profundity, people tend to recognize and associate with individual motives and perspectives, but yet disregard others.

11. In your third album 'Conquest, Love & Self Perseverance', you have given a bigger importance to your lyrics as the leading and central force of your concept, while the music, maintaining its high quality, is used many times as a perfect background for them.
The songs are impossible to follow without given the right importance to your words, while in the two previous albums we found many instrumental parts as creating a unique atmosphere. I think that, without loosing your main essence, this is a new way of facing your work.
What is your opinion on this?

Perhaps this supposed progression is a new way of confronting the music I spawn; especially as all recent songs since 'The Triumph of Light.... and Thy Thirteen Shadows of Love', and even following the accomplishment of 'Conquest, Love & Self Perseverance', factually incorporate lyrics.
But I did however not consciously decide to relinquish the incorporation of instrumental song; but merely realized at the time of completing 'Conquest, Love & Self Perseverance', that there where in fact no instrumental songs to include - and consequently no requirement to include any, solely for the sake of their pervious incorporation.

12. From who or how came out the idea to reform 'Archon Satani' with the original members and to create a song 'A Time of Ruin' and then finish that band? What do you think of Mikael's work in 'Innana', why has he ended up with A.S.?

The decision to revive Archon Satani was mutual; but the aspiration was not solely to participate as part of 'The Absolute Supper', but more willingly to engender one final recording, incorporated of all previously accomplished but yet unreleased material.
But whether and when this engendering will factually be available is yet to be determined, as we are evidently incapable of synchronizing our individual schedules.

So what do I think of Innana?
I believe Mikael is a seemingly competent musician, but that there are genuinely more captivating constellations besides Innana; but however, seemingly less invigorating constellations as well.

Innana initially originated as a seemingly interesting engendering with the accomplishment of 7Innana7 / Sodom and thereafter Innana / 'Day of Torment'; but consecutively I believe it all evolved to become less and less interesting as it progressed.

Mikael ended up with Archon Satani as he considered it to be his brainchild; I disagreed, but rather than wasting precious energy and valuable time arguing this predicament, I decided to proceed, establish Ordo Equilibrio and conclusively realize what I had always aspired.

13. Your visions after your concerts of 1998, and how will be developing Ordo Equilibrio in this aspect?
Have you ever think about including some other acoustic instruments, together with drums, for example some live acoustic guitars, or will this remain like your past concerts?

My collective impression of 1998 is quite satisfying.
We accomplished a total number of eight performances throughout Sweden, Germany, Belgium, Finland and Poland; and which to all appearances emerged quite satisfactory.

Our performance in Leipzig was seemingly and according to our personal estimation, our most successful appearance last year; but I suppose others would care to differ.

Pertaining to evolution I can merely say that we aspire to include acoustic guitars as elements of prospective performances, but that it yet remains to be determined when this incorporation will practically befall.
There will however, yet unaffiliated with the incorporation of acoustic guitars, be the additional integration of percussive instruments; but what 1999 will factually and conclusively have in store, remains to be resolved.

14. Do you plan any other releases now?
What about some video editions not yet released that you had in mind some time ago, and please explain something of your plans for 1999?
How do you see the process of the every day more admired and bigger (for its quality and number of bands) CMI label?

I hope the overall attention pertaining to Cold Meat Industry and its comprehensive operations will persist, and that sales and appreciation will continue to expand, as I indeed believe Roger and every implicated individual throughout the CMI organism certainly deserves it.
And as the situation appears today, there seems to be an illustrious future ahead.

So what can be acknowledged with regard to the impending future of Ordo Equilibrio?

As 'Conquest, Love & Self Perseverance' was merely released on the Summer Solstice June 22nd last year, another full-length working is not realistically due for yet another year or two.

There is furthermore the prospective possibility of brief collaborations with various artists, as for instance MZ 412, Les Joyaux de la Princesse, No Festival of Light and American author Rob Hardin. But as each collaboration is yet waiting to be resolved, there is no additional information regarding these eventually upcoming activities just now.

An official full-length video release is likely to be available at some point throughout 1999; accomplished in association with video artist Michael Prey a.k.a. Fetish 23.
But as this enterprise is currently being developed, it seems pointless to estimate the date of its release.

These are presently my contemporary engagements, and aside from this we will just have to wait and see what unexpected ventures the future has in store.

Part 2.

1. COULD YOU, PLEASE, EXPLAIN US THE REASONS WHY CHELSEA QUIT THE BAND?.
HOW DO YOU THINK HER DEPARTURE WILL AFFECT THE MUSIC, CONCEPTS AND IMAGE OF ORDO EQUILIBRIO?. WILL BE ORDO EQUILIBRIO FROM NOW ON A SOLO PROJECT OR WILL YOU INCORPORATE ANOTHER MEMBER?

Chelsea's resignation does not require any auxiliary clarification and lingering besides her own explanation that she decided to relinquish her former participation in OE by reason of personal disparities pertaining to me.
And as far as anyone feels the compulsion to determine any eventual impact and significance pertaining to Chelsea's departure I believe it needs to be resolved and confirmed by someone exterior to the condition itself.

The intrinsic essence of Ordo Equilibrio is I, and I still withstand. Consequently I sincerely doubt that Chelsea's departure will affect OE in any conspicuous or substantial way.
Whether or not this condition hence will resolve in the incorporation and wedlock of another participant, I choose to leave unanswered.
I maintain my hopes and desires, but whether they will realize or not remains to resolve.

2. CAN YOU TELL US SOMETHING ABOUT YOUR 4TH ALBUM?, WHEN WILL IT BE OUT, ITS TITLE AND A GENERAL IDEA OF ITS CONCEPTS AND SOUND?, HAD CHELSEA CONTRIBUITED IN THE CREATION PROCESS OF THE NEXT ALBUM?.

The 4th Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio work 'Make Love, And War' is scheduled for release on May 5th, alongside an complimentary spawning titled '4 Life 4 Love 4 Lust & Roses'; featuring an additional four and exclusive songs - limited to 444 copies and incorporating a dried rose, a pair of stockings and a color booklet; all assembled in an exclusive box.

I suppose both works differ slightly in sound in resemblance to their predecessors, as the natural consequence of unwavering and inevitable progress; being somewhat more explicit, melodious and 'folk oriented', but nevertheless capable to congregate under the banner of Ordo Equilibrio.

3. ON LAST OCTOBER YOU PERFORMED LIVE IN ATHENS BEING THE CONCERT ONE OF THE BEST OF THE FESTIVAL, HOW ARE YOUR IMPRESSIONS ON YOUR PERFORMANCE AND ABOUT THE FESTIVAL IN GENERAL?

So what's there to say about Greece?
Greece was a genuine catastrophe from a financial and organizational point of view, but performance wise I suppose it was relatively satisfying judging from your appraisal.
The organizers initially managed to pull off a splendid first impression having a large buss picking us all up at the airport taking us to a seemingly simple but however relatively nice hotel close to the Acropolis, and thereafter taking us all out for something to eat and drink at a restaurant close by.
At that point everything seemed as if it had the potential of turning out as an entirely splendid event, but when everything finally came clear that they in fact had no clue what they were doing and how they finally were supposed to cover all consequential expenses of inviting a total of eight bands from Sweden, it started to show.

In retrospective I suppose my impression of Greece is predominantly positive, but having asked two months in advance for a set of two 20" kettle drums, one 18" kettle drum, two sets of chimes, two crash cymbals and one snare drum - but finally being handed two 20" bass drums, one 14" kettle drum, one snare drum and nothing else I was seemly annoyed, and likewise equally perplexed by this organizational blunder, and which out of annoyance and fury almost resulted in the cancellation of ORE, or optionally some sort improvised noise version, which I can't imagine anyone else besides me and a chosen few would have found especially invigorating.

Greece was altogether a financial fiasco as neither of the participating CMI constituents did get paid beyond the guaranteed reimbursement of travel expenses.
But I suppose I have to observe everything for what it finally came to be, a gratifying opportunity of going on a brief and not particularly relaxing vacation to Greece.

4. HOW ARE YOUR PLANS FOR 2.000 AFTER RELEASING THE NEW ALBUM, CONCERTS, ACTIVITIES..?

Alongside the two impending releases previously mentioned in this interview there is finally the expected release of the long-awaited ORE video; which has and is being spawned in association with video artist Mikael Prey a.k.a. Fetish 23.

There is likewise an Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio appearance scheduled at the 'Wave Gothik Treffen' in affiliation to the expecting Cold Meat Industry - Ant-Zen venture in association with the festival.

There is also the possibility of an ORE, DN & ISN European excursion at the end of April, but as this is currently being organized I am hesitant to reveal any additional information pertaining to this venture.
I further believe there are some impending performances expected for this upcoming summer throughout Europe, but I genuinely believe they are better revealed by someone else closing in on the intended dates.
