The music is in the ever-evolving sound of O.R.E., seductive and somber ? this time possibly with a more "pop" orientation, which makes the songs all the more poignant. Lush guitars, pounding percussions, humming organs and pianos, church choirs, subtle moans and female vocals by muse and mistress Rose-Marie Larsen, and the added new element of a softly throbbing drummachine creates the evocative, ravenous soundtrack. And yet above all hovers the most dominant element- the stern and yet alluring voice of the visionary behind O.R.E., Tomas Pettersson, singing, speaking, inviting us to cum with him.

There is a sensible melancholy for what has been lost and for what will never be, mixed with wanton visceral visions and fullfilment ? carnal love and hate, joy and grief. Tinged with subtle black humor, like a movie of Tinto Brass put into a musical score ? and there's even a song in italian. Denna skiva, som tagig två år att färdigställa, har delvis inspirerats av la petit mort, den lilla döden, presterad av egen kraft eller likväl av andra (Four hands please better than Two) forsätter i O.R.E's tradition av frikostiga perversioner och dekadent skönhet, som ett otämjt estetiskt opus för människans drifter förseglade med "Apocalips Kisses".

Ljudbilden i den ständigt föränderliga musiken av Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio är förförisk och mörk, men denna gång med en möjligen mer "poporienterad" framtoning, som gör alla låtarna än mer berörande. Distinkta gitarrer, bultande rytmer, surrande orglar, pianon, kyrkokörer, undertydliga stön, och kvinnlig sång av musan och älskarinnan Rose-Marie Larsen, och de tillkomna nya elementen av mjukt pulserande trummaskiner, skapar en kraftfull och uppslukande skiva. Och över allt det andra svävar det mest dominanta elementet, den villkorslösa men än dock förföriska rösten av visionären och drivkraften bakom Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio; Tomas Pettersson, som sjungande och talande bjuder oss att "komma" med honom.

Det finns en tydlig melankoli för vad som har gått förlorat och aldrig kommer att bli, blandat med en intellektuella, promiskuös visioner och fullkomlighet - köttslig kärlek, hat, glädje och sorg. Allt kryddat med en undertydlig svart humor, som i en film med Tinto Brass men förvandlad till ett musikaliskt epos. Det finns även en sång framförd på italienska av artisten Marco Deplano.
Alla närmast drömlika onanibilder i skivans inlaga kommer i direkt nedåtstigande led från deltagarna i "The Army of Roses & Equilibrium". Diese Veröffentlichung, welche 2 Jahre benötigte, um das Licht der Welt zu erblicken, wurde teilweise von ?la petit mort? inspiriert ? dem ?kleinen Tod?, welcher von den eigenen Händen oder den Händen Anderer empfangen wird. [ Four hands please better than Two].
Das Werk steht ganz in der O.R.E.- Tradition üppiger Verdorbenheit und dekadenter Schönheit ? ein zügelloses, auditiv-ästhetisches Werk über das, was den Menschen bewegt und das mit apokalyptischen Küssen versiegelt wurde.

Die Musik selbst besteht aus den sich kontinuierlich entfaltenden Klängen O.R.E.?s, gleichsam verführerisch wie düster, doch diesmal mit einer etwas kontrastierend ?poppigeren? Note, welche die einzelnen Lieder noch melancholischer anmuten lassen.
Getragen von satten Gitarrenklängen, treibenden Trommeln, vibrierenden Orgeln und flüsternden Pianos, ebenso wie Kirchenchören, unterschwelligem Stöhnen und dem weiblichen Gesang der Muse und Geliebten Rose-Marie Larsen, erschafft sich zusammen mit dem bisher noch nicht gehörten sanften Pulsieren eines Drumcomputers dieser allesverzehrende, beschwörerische Soundtrack.
Hoch über allem schwebt das dominanteste Element ? die ernste und doch verlockende Stimme des Visionärs hinter O.R.E., namentlich Tomas Pettersson, der uns sprechend und singend einlädt, mit ihm zu ?kommen?.

Q - If there should be a taboo around our relation to the body, masturbation could be its carry-flag, doesn?t it? What did bring yourselves to call your fans through the Internet to take some pictures of their intimacy, their act of masturbation to illustrate the new ORE record "O N A N I - [Practice makes Perfect]"?

A - I thought it was time to start interacting with the people who care; the people who are physically and spiritually interested in the sexual aspects of O.R.E.
I revere integrity; it remains carved in my flesh. It is very important in the presentation of our accomplishments. And to utilize people without a factual interest and conceivable relation to O.R.E and our work, concept and spirit, would not do it for me; maybe nobody would be able to tell the difference, but for me it would be dishonest and false. And for this very reason I asked for the assistance of our listeners.
We could naturally masturbate ourselves on all the featured photography, but how interesting would that be?

Q - How did you judge the answer, did you receive an important amount of pictures? Did fans sometimes explain to you why they gave you this substance? What did they say, if it was the case?

- People explained to me why they did this and why they wanted to partake; because it mattered to them, and because they appreciated the initiative and the entire idea.
And I received enough material to make more than one release; video as well as photography.

Q - Do you consider your call to the fans like implying for yourselves (or not) some kind of voyeurism?

A - Suggesting that we do this solely to satisfy our own perversions and profit on the naivety and good will of our listeners? Of course, I have considered all conceivable aspects of this situation, and isn?t that part of the thrill, to expose yourself completely to someone else in such an intimate and delicate situation?

Q - Do you consider voyeurism like a natural tendency of the humankind? Is the territory of the forbidden something we?ve created to avoid the debate around our own nature? Does it not simply prove that we?re afraid of ourselves?

A - No, I don?t think voyeurism comes naturally to most people.
Excitement itself however, is a turn on, and the act of voyeurism in this sense of exposing yourself to someone else, becomes exciting.
The feeling of being discovered while having sex in someone else?s bed with the door unlocked, masturbating in public, touching yourself on the subway to work; they are all on the verge of taboo, and in THAT sense, from the excitement of almost being caught in the act, from committing forbidden acts, voyeurism becomes almost natural.

Q - Is there not a non-erotic posture in the fact to show (if you?ve done it) the intimate parts of the body solicited by his/her owner? Where does pornography begin, where does eroticism end?

A - I think masturbation is fascinating and aesthetically appealing.
Almost everyone does it, one way or another, often or rarely, but hardly anyone admits doing it; and I think that is the reason why many have such a hard time to see the beauty of the act itself ? auto-eroticism.
The definition between pornography and eroticism is in the eye of the beholder. What someone considers erotic is probably pornographic for someone else. But I suppose a ground rule by which most people define the difference, is in THAT which is NOT shown, in THAT which is left to the imagination of the beholder.

Q - Were you considering "O N A N I" like a way to expose the taboo, and so on to fight against it?

A - No.
I think masturbation is fun. Practice makes Perfect; pleasure in the process.
I simply wanted people to masturbate, take pleasure in doing so, and ultimately send us the results.
The cause was quite simple and quite primal.
Something that interested me however, was women versus men.
Who would contribute the most, women or men, and how far would they go?

Q - A (surely stupid, I don?t know) question about the plastic of the new record?s title "O N A N I": why do you put some spaces between each letter in capitals?

A - Solely to make people wonder.
And judging from your question, I guess I succeeded.

Q - Listening to "O N A N I", I have the impression that your music, more and more, tries search more "flesh" while keeping its "shadow appearance". And so, emotion is today more tangible than on old things like the very ethereal "The Triumph Of Light.... and Thy Thirteen Shadows Of Love". How do you judge on your side the variation between your oldest works and what you do today, on the pure plastic aspect?

A - There is a vast difference between the past and the present.
11 years have passed since the release of ?The Triumph of Light?. And thy Thirteen Shadows of Love? and 15 years have passed altogether since the establishment of O.R.E. So things must have changed, otherwise it would be very very sad.
The entire working process for example, has developed.
In the past we recorded everything with basic home studio equipment. Limited 4 channel portable studios, old lo-fi samplers, budget reverbs and so on, and today I work with computers, unlimited multi layer, multi channel recording software.
Both the differences and the possibilities are enormous.
I am still able to appreciate all that I created in the past, see it for what it is and recognize it as a reflection of the times in which I lived and worked, but I am naturally more satisfied with what I create today. And if I wasn?t, there would be little meaning to continue.
So maybe all this has managed to give birth a more organic sound, something more tactile and perfected.
